From forming a collaboration with Telford & Wrekin Council as well as partnering with some fantastic local companies I have now launched my new children’s book ‘The Ironbridge Ogre’. All in aid of celebrating 50 years of Telford… Please visit www.theironbridgeogre.co.uk for more information and if you would like to purchase a book online.
Back in 2014 I illustrated The Wrekin Giant myth. The story is based on the locally famous myth of The Wrekin Hill in Telford. The Wrekin Giant is a fresh take on the legendary story, offering a fun and exciting way for children to learn more about the local area and its historical tales. Local Schools and nurseries have taken on The Wrekin Giant story as part of their curriculums.
Commissioned illustration work from The National Fertility Society; A series of 6 books in total will be illustrated by myself. The books are designed to help children who were conceived through assisted reproduction, to understand their origins.
The first 2 are now released and No.3 is on it’s way! You can purchase the books HERE
This has been a wonderful project working with Meadows Primary School in Ketley, Telford. The school decided to write their own story with their year 4 classes with the help of my good friend Dave Weston (author of the Wrekin Giant children’s book) . The story is based on the historic times of the Ketley mines. I was delighted to be asked to illustrate the book cover. I also held a workshop with the children and helped them create the inside illustrations for the story. The book is due to be launched very soon, I can’t wait! Look out for the launch date.
Step back to a time when the 18th century mines of Ketley were bustling.
A heart-warming heritage tale about a horse called Archie, who proves that heroes come in all shapes and sizes. When there is an accident down the mine, how could a pit pony as small as Archie, save the day?
